HEALTHY YOUTH COALITION

Feel like you have no say in what happens in school or how your school looks? Looking for a positive group to join to have fun and do something good for the school and others? Join Healthy Youth Coalition or HYC! Permission slips are available in the office. Even if you turned in a permission slip last year, a new one needs to be signed. Return signed permission slips to Mrs. Klein by Friday, September 11th. Any questions, please see Mrs. Klein.

STUDENT COUNCIL MEETING

There will be a student council meeting from 7:30-8:30 am in the LMC Wednesday, September 9th, all members should attend.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Flag football with the Marinette Recreation Dept. is open to boys and girls in 5th and 6th grades. Cost is $12 per player, made payable to the City of Marinette. You may register at the civic center or bring the form back to school along with the payment. Forms may be picked up in the middle school office. For more information you may contact the Recreation Dept. at 732-5222.

EXTRA CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

The following groups will begin next week for any students interested:

Show Choir: Wednesday, Sept. 9th, 7:00 am.

Drama Club: Thursday, Sept. 10th, 7:00 am

Drum Ensemble: Friday, Sept. 11th, 3:00 pm

All groups will meet in either the choir room or Mr. Okray's room on the third floor.

CROSS COUNTRY

Any students interested in going out for cross country should stop in the office and pick up forms. Cross country is offered to all 5th thru 8th graders. Practice begins Thursday, Sept. 3rd at 3:15 pm. We will meet in the lobby outside the gym. Be dressed and ready activity.
